Thai Potluck Dinner (mostly desserts:)

We had a potluck dinner yesterday, but since I go there quite late, I only got pictures of some of the desserts. Anyway, EVERYTHING was yummy! :D

Our dessert table.
Green pudding. I didn't want to eat it at first because the color was so weird, but it turned out quite delicious:)

Fruits are sweet. So they count as desserts, right? (healthy dessert:)

Thai dessert. It has milk (or maybe soy milk, I'm not sure) and some fruits and Thai jelly in it.

COOKIES!!!

Yellow Watermelon. Another sweet and healthy dessert:)

Sweetened tapioca and corn. You eat it with coconut cream on top. It reall remined me of Thailand!

Japanese Curry ^^

I learned to make some Japanese curry^^

The box of the curry sauce.

Here's the back of the box.

The inside.

Now flip it over.

And when you open it here's what it looks like.

It's really easy to make, actually. You cut up some vegetables, like carrots, potatoes, and onions, and stir fry it a bit with oil (I add some soysauce as well). Then you add some water. Let it simmer a bit. Then add the curry, and cover it with low heat for about 10 mins. Put it over some rice or noodles and ENJOY!

Oh, here's some warning. If you spill some curry on your clothes, it stays FOREVER. So be careful!

All About Noodles!

Today I went to my friend's house for some noodles. Here are some pictures!

Fish balls and Meat balls. Can you guess which is which?

Lemons. We didn't use them, but I love lemons:)

Just noodles.

Now we add meat balls and fish balls.

This one has only fish balls because it's mine!

Thai Stuff!

These two are instant soup mixes I got from P'Tom. She brought a bunch of them here from Thailand.

Rice noodles. The price tag is still on the package:) You can use them in soup or in stir fries.

Mung bean noodles or glass noodles. I like to stir fry them with eggg, vegetables, and soy sauce. Yum!

Powdered coconut milk! You mix it with water, and then you get coconut milk!

Fish sauce. You can't cook Thai food without fish sauce. Well, you can, but it doesn't taste the same without fish sauce!

Oyster sauce. Good for stir fries. Since most of my meals are stir fried vegetables, I use this sauce a lot!

I love Korean food!!!

Well, I love most food...everybody knows that^^
When we go to this restaurant (Soeul), this dish is what I always get. It's squid and vegetables stired fried with hot pepper sauce!

Rice and spicy soup.

I love these side dishes:)
